I'm about to get one to replace a desktop with a blown power supply. Lots of machines offer 3 or 4 m.2 NVME PCIE slots and 1 to 2 SATA drive bays for lots of internal storage. Neither program is particularly demanding on the gpu. Look at some of the custom configurations at LR likes 6 or 8 cpu cores, PS likes a ton of ram - 32gb or more. Laptop for portability to use at my GF's or Starbucks, or.Thank you in advance.I currently have a great desktop which is not the. I would like some feedback on this not from people who "Think" they know but from people with this software experience, loaded in their laptop and can tell me of their own experience. Took it to a computer shop to ask questions why Topaz Studio will not launch, and they told me the video card is irreplaceable that it would be cost effective to just get a new laptop that can support my needs, which is Photoshop CC 2020, LR Classic, the Topaz suite, Studio and Studio 2. I currently have a great desktop which is not the problem, I have an ASUS laptop around 7 years old, 16gb w/1tb hd. I have an i7 desktop with 32GB and iTB SSD as well as iNvidia graphics and this laptop performs just as well. When I need a larger screen it's a simple connection and the system recognizes it automatically. In addition to Topaz products I run the Adobe Photography suite as well. I thought I might need to upgrade the memory, but have not needed to. The system is designed for simple one screw access for easy upgrades if needed. My total cost was $982.00 with free shipping. It came with one year of next day onsite repair warranty which I upgraded to 3 years. The system I got has an Intel i7 generation 8 processor, 16GB of memory, 256GB SSD M.2 drive, a 1TB hard drive, iNvidia graphics with 6GB of memory, high resolution screen, every high speed video and USB port you could need, latest wireless and wired connectivity and Windows 10 Pro. I have most of the Topaz apps and they run like a dream on the system. This is a gaming system, but is what you need for what you're running. I recently purchased a refurbished Dell G5 15 laptop. They have their refurbished systems and overstocks there. Suggest you check out Dell's outlet store.
